HUNGARIANS ON HUNTING PATHS OF ASIA (Béla Hidvégi, dr Ferenc Jánoska, dr Joachim Köller, dr András Vojnits, dr Attila Zoltán)

...The present book and its related exhibition are a testimony of the diversity of wildlife in Central Asia, which to-date remains rather unknown to the general public. Wildlife populations in Central Asia have sufferd declines in the past decade. Hence conservation efforts need to be strengthened, including targeted sustainable trophy hunting tourism development that has high potential for local income generation for marginal rural economies. Sustainable use of natural resources and species is recognized as one of three pillars of the CBD. Therefor, hunters stand on safe ground as long as their hunting is sustainable, contributing to the survival ps species. Hunters have every reason to enjoy the trophies which have been collected under such circumstances.
